sporty boy

We had more fun at My Gym, the best part of this class is it is really helping Jake deal with being on his tummy more.

new car

I wonder when I continue to buy Jake new toys... He showed no interest in his new car, all he wanted to do was play with the box.

cats

Proof that I really do have two cats. This is the fist time since we adopted Murphy (white cat) that I have seen the two of them curled up together on the couch. Better late then never.

kumon

What a difference....this was the last time he was at Kumon (only three months old) He thought we were crazy then for making him playing with a letter board.
Jake played a little at Kumon today before my mom and I headed off to the mall. He went crazy for this letter board. I think he will be my mom's youngest student. Jake says learning can be fun.

many firsts

We tried out My Gym today and lets just say it was a total hit! He had his first swinging experience, first time in a ball pit and first time going down a slide. Overall he had a total blast! We are definitely going to go back.

update

Well it is 8:20am and Jake is still sleeping. This is a record, 13 hours! I knew he was a tired little guy. Lets just hope this does not mess up his nap schedule today. I am thinking maybe I need to move his bed time up in the next few weeks with the time change coming.

plum tuckered out

So after a fun afternoon of playing with friends, and not taking a morning nap Jake only slept for a little over an our hour after they left. By 6 the melt down had begun, nothing would make him would make him happy. He barely touched his dinner. So I put in him the tub, nope wanted no part of it. So I put him to bed at 7. Which is an hour and half earlier than normal. I am so hoping that he does not wake up that much earlier.

Recap

We took Jake to get his passport. Lets just say taking the picture was a production. I am just happy that it is done.

The good news is Jake's new oral antibiotics really seem to be helping his eye. Getting to this point well, has been rough. Someone did not tell me I needed to give Jake the medicine on a full stomach, and well the medicine majorly upset Jake's tummy:( It was a rough night that followed. Now that I know he needs to take it on a full stomach we have not had a problem. The good news is that I learned his doctors office is open from 8-8.

Yesterday when we were out to lunch Jake tried white rice and a tortilla. He really liked both of them. Even though the rice was way more fun to play with. I think next his is going to try a veggie burger.

Party Time

Today we had a Valentines Day Party at our house. My sister also come to check everyones carseat. All the boys loved Jake's new roller coaster....to bad Jake is still scared of it. I love watching Jake interact with all of his friends. It was so nice to use the new finished basement. Next time we will even have furniture!

Jake says....

p.s. Happy Birthday Grandpa Marv!

Napping

So this is the problem we keep having, Jake gets his feet stuck...He slept like this today for 3 hours. His nap schedule is really changing from three short naps (maybe an hour) to one long nap.

Sunday, February 10, 2008

Well yesterday Jake slept awesome, and today he would not nap at all. After screaming for a very long time I gave up and took Jake down to the basement where David was working on putting together his school bus. He sat there in eager anticipation watching David assemble his new toy together. If I did not know better I would say he knew something fun was going on down in the basement and he did not want to miss out.

Saturday, February 9, 2008

The new food of the day was toast. Jake did really well feeding himself. He seemed to really like the toast. For some reason he woke up screaming last night at 2 am for some strange reason...hoping it was just a fluke and had nothing to do with the new food.

Most of the day we worked on organizing the basement I can't believe how much we finished. Now we are just waiting on the couches to be delivered!

Jake took a 3 hours nap. That is a record long nap! Needless to say that was the only nap of the day. But it was a great break to we got tons of work done on the basement.

Baby steps

Jake loves to stand. All he wants to do is play with his activity table. He has discovered that he can move forward with the table. It might take 30 minutes but he pushes it until he hits a road block.

Issues

Who ever decided that it was good idea to give a 9 month old eyes drops is out of their mind. His eye is red again....because giving him said drops is a loosing battle. Not a happy mommy or baby right now. Inflicting pain on my child is not my idea of fun.

Yummy to my tummy

We were given a whole long list of new foods for Jake to try. I am still trying to get use to the idea that he can have table food. He is having a hard time with the little puffs and cheerios getting them in his mouth, but had no problem with the teething cooking. A bit messy, but he figured it out. Next week were are going to be trying waffles and ravioli!
