11 months
In the food department well that is another story, Jake continues to be a picky eater like me. I am trying to get him to venture out but so far I have not had too much luck. He knows what he likes...I wonder where he gets that from.
He continues to be very chatty. I think he might of said hi the other day. He also say mama, dada and dog.
His favorite toy of the moment is his new cell phone...can you say we are in big trouble in that department.

picture day
Jake had his pictures taken today to use for his birthday invitations. He decided that he did not want to take a morning nap, so it was challanging to get him to smile, but overall he did really well considering how tired he was. What can I say I love days that I have an excuse to change his clothes several times. It is crazy that I am planing a birthday party for a 1-year-old!

toronto
We had a great time in Toronto even though we happened to be there during a crazy snow storm, Saturday there was upwards on a foot of snow. Lets just say that much snow plus a stroller does not equal a good combination.
Jake was great...the only tricky part was getting him to sleep the first night. But once he was asleep he was fine. The one strange thing is Jake developed a fear of elevators, we think maybe his ears popped?
We also had time to go swimming, it has been since the cruise in October that Jake has been swimming, what is crazy is same bathing suit still fit him.

when all else fails...
For some reason Jake did not want to really nap this afternoon. He took two thirty minutes naps and well that was just not cutting it. So when all else fails it was in to the tub. The bath works wonders, its magical powers can transform an over tired, fussy, cranky baby to happy laughing baby in seconds.
We are off to Toronto for the weekend, I have packed everything but the kitchen sink. Cross your fingers that Jake sleeps well, or this is going to be one interesting weekend.

expanding menu
This has been a big week for Jake in the trying new food department. By far his favorite was banana bread, for a kid who hates bananas I could not get the banana bread in his mouth fast enough. He also really liked pita bread and hummus. Then tonight at dinner I was feeling adventurous and let him try some of my gnocchi, and he gobbled it right up.
