family time

This was a rare Saturday because we had nothing we had to do.

The good news is Jake has found a new food that he loves, we went to lunch at the Pancake House and Jake devoured 3 huge pancakes...I guess he is making up for not eating great the last few days. After lunch we ran a few errands and went to our favorite little park on our way home. He could not get enough of the slide. Now I am trying to talk David into getting him a swing set for the backyard. Just a nice family day.

Jake finally was able to go from laying on his back to sitting up today. It was not a fluke either, he did this several times. He also took a few steps towards me all on his own!

Jake has taken picky eating to a new level. He is now on the orange food diet. The only foods he will eat are goldfish, cheese, mango, sometimes carrots, sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. That is it. If it is not orange, is gets rejected. I guess the good thing is he is not opting to be on the purple food diet.

enzo's ei-ei-oh party

This has been the weekend of birthday parties for Jake's friends. Today we went to Enzo's first birthday party. Jake had fun as usual playing with all of his little buddies. It was nice too because it gave David a chance to get to know all the dads much better.

kamran's birthday blast

Today we went to Kamran's first birthday party! They had a baby animal petting farm. Jake thought it was so cool! He even went on technically his first pony ride, since the horses he normally gets to ride on are a far cry from a pony. He loved petting all of the animals. He thought the bounce house slide was pretty cool too. We all had a great afternoon. We are so glad we got to celebrate this special day with you. Happy first birthday Kam!

While our floors are being re finished we are hanging out with Allie and Micheal. Jake is loving exploring this amazing house. I just wish the weather was better so we could take him the pool. Pictures to come when I get home to upload them. I could get use to this, Allie and Michael fight over who is going to play, feed and take care of Jake while I get to relax knowing he is in capable hands.

What a difference a week makes, Jake had so much fun at his swimming class today. He laughed and giggled the entire time.

Jake started swimming lessons on Monday. I think his ear was bothering him, hopefully next week he will have more fun.

Ok so after seeing these pictures I decided it was time for the hair cut. I wanted to wait until he was a year old for the first cut. I know silly. Most people have their kids hair cut before their pictures but not mine.
