official 15 month stats

Weight: 22.4 pounds (25% up from 5%)
Height: 31.5 inches (50-75% down from 75-90%)

His appointment went really well. His doctor was very glad to hear he is now walking and was impressed with how verbal he was. While showing off his new walking ability he managed to fall and give himself a bloody lip while in with the doctor.

The reason there has not been alot of posts this week is because Sunday night Jake derailed his roller coaster and as a result has a nasty bruise on his forehead and scrap under his eye. He is on the mend so many more pictures to come.

15 months

I had to run to Babies R Us this morning, and while I was driving I decided it would be a good day to get Jake's hair cut. I knew there was a kids place right across the street. He was so much better this time, no screaming or crying. In fact I was shocked how good he was. The my next crazy idea hit....lets see if we can go next door and get our pictures taken. (This time I did it right, hair cut then pictures)We lucked out they were able to fit us in. I did not have extra clothes with me so it made picking pictures much easier. Still so hard to narrow them down.

In the last few months Jake has been growing like crazy. He now has eight teeth and says dada, out, out NOW, Ella, dog, cat, up, down, all done, and some form of this or that. We are working on book and ball. He is pointing at things like crazy. He loves animal and playing outside. He is pretty much walking now and crawling all over the place. He is eating so much better and is much more willing to try new things. Even though he favorites are still sweet potatoes, yogurt and cheese. He is working on eating with a fork. When we get back from Alaska we are going to try getting rid of bottles. Where has the time gone...

Monday is his 15 month check up so I will have his official stats then.

summer days

Today was just a picture perfect summer day so we headed to the park. Jake was all about the giant sand pit. The park also had this very cool roller slide that he could not get enough of. I remember going on a similar slide like this when I was a kid.

missing someone

So this afternoon we had a little playgroup here. But Jake decided he was going to sleep thru 90% of it. He woke with a smile, happy to see his friends.

beating the heat

We went over to Brady's grandma's house to swim in her pool this afternoon. Jake did not nap, so I was a little worried how he would do. But as soon as we got there he had a second wind and was ready to go. He had a great time hanging out with Brady and Enzo. What a great way to beat the heat and tire Jake out so he will sleep.

The boys had just as much fun hanging out

puppets in the park

I am pretty sure Jake had more fun playing with his friends then watching the puppet show. From where we were sitting it was really hard to see. What matters is everyone seemed to have a nice time.

bbq fun

This is the only picture I got of all the babies together. They seemed to all like the bounce house but were not actually sure of what they were suppose to do.
The weather ended up cooperating which was such a relief. I really wanted this bbq outside. It was so nice for all the dads to see the babies playing together.

For once it was Jake crawling away from the camera.

water boy

Jake just can not get enough of being in the water. Carrie and Marianna had us over today for a playgroup that was filled with many water activities. Jake managed to get himself face first into a little pool before I even got his bathing suit on. He also went thru the sprinkler for the first time and he thought was pretty neat too. Thanks again Carrie we had great afternoon with you guys.

catching some rays

What a perfect day to spend at the beach! Tyler and his mom Laura hosted our playgroup today. There house is just a few steps away from the beach. Jake had a great time. His favorite activity was eating the sand...throwing it was a close second. He is such a picky eater but will eat send and go back for more???? I just do not get it. Thanks Laura and Tyler we can't wait to come back soon!

ice cream

We went to dinner with Scott, Shuana and Lily tonight and after we went to get ice cream. This is what happends when daddy feds Jake ice cream.

Lily decided she had to be little miss independent and feed herself the ice cream. I guess it's yummy no matter how you eat it.

Erin and Mario's shower

This has been a crazy week with many so many social obligations. Today was Erin and Mario wedding shower. Erin is a long time family friend. In fact her sister Jill introduced David and I. Jake was super again at the shower he even made a little friend to keep him company.

books

We went to Borders today to stock up on some new books for our trip to Alaska. Now the hard part is going to be putting these books away to save for the flight. Jake loves his books so I hope these keep him entertained for 6 hours.

So as I grabbed the camera he woke up, the picture was cuter when he was sleeping. You can get the idea that this child likes his books and this is how he entertainers himself in the car.
