not feeling so hot

Jake has had a rough few days of horrible diaper rash, he has not been his happy playful self, he just wanted to lay around and watch tv. He had been waddling around and not wanting to sit in his highchair or chair seats since it hurts. I see some new teeth coming in so I am guessing that is the culprit.

We had some friends come over yesterday for a summer bbq. Jake a had great time playing with his buddies even thru we were inside for most of the day because of the rain.

or fly...My sister had an event a few weeks ago in Canton. She said they had a great kids area that we had to check out. This was the first time there were enough rides for Jake to get an armband.

Mornings have been crazy around here since Jake has started camp. He has been staying up later and luckily he had been sleeping in later but him sleeping in then causes us to rush around. We have also discovered thru all of this that Jake is not a morning person. He has been refusing breakfast days he feel rushed. He wants to lounge around watching Elmo while drinking his chocolate milk.

We had nice night out at Kathleen and Scott's wedding. Jake did great with my cousin Gary. I was a little worried since he has been having bad separation anxiety lately. I think camp is really helping in that department. I actually got a few when are you due comments. Last time I wore this dress I was 32 pregnant with Jake.

21 weeks with baby #2

So we had this great idea to take the kids to the water park. Well lets just say it was freezing and the big bucket freaked Jake out. He normally loves the water, can't get enough but today I think this crazy huge bucket dumping freezing cold water over his head caught him off guard and he freaked. He did enjoy going on the tube in the big wave pool until that tipped over. I think we will stick with the sprinkler park and regular pools for a while.

Since we did not have our usual Thursday playgroup we head to bounce u in Troy. They had a special preschool open play. Jake bounced his heart out. There was even a helper in the room the help the kids up some of the slides. The best part was Jake came home and took a three hour nap.

It is so crazy to me that I'm half way done with pregnancy...maybe less if this baby is early like Jake. We are starting to get Jake's new room ready. We figure it will be easier to leave the nursery and focus on his big boy room. His furniture is ordered and should be here by September, plenty of time for him to get settled into his new room before the baby arrives. In the next few weeks he will be getting new lights, and a chair rail. I have to decide what color to paint the room and and design a cool closet system. My mom already ordered him all of his new bedding! I can't wait to see his room all come together. It is really starting to hit me that this is really happening!
