super Jake

Not listening 3 year-olds beware, super Jake is watching you.

beep beep

The school bus is a favorite toy again. Jake loves to put gas in it and wants to be the driver while Nathan likes to climb in to the bus and push Jake out of his way for a turn at the wheel.

this child of mine

Nathan is just in to everything these days, he makes what should be such a quick simple task so much more challenging. For some reason the dishwasher is very fun to play in.

There are always smiles when cookies are involved, not to mention he was having a great time with Rafi and Conner.

bowling night

We decided not to exchange gifts this year with Jake's friends and instead we planned a bowling night. This was Jake's first time bowling, in the car he asked if he would have a bowling coach. I told him that I would teach him...that is a scary thought since I'm the worst bowler! Luckily the lanes had bumpers and a ramp for the kids. The kids had a blast bowling and eating pizza. But, for Jake he enjoyed the arcade the most. And, I forgot my good camera.

day with friends

We watched Sydney all day on Tuesday and let me tell you she might only be 4, but she is so much more mature than Jake. We had a much busier day than normal even by my standards. First we headed to Rainbow Recreation to meet with up Brady, Logan and Enzo. The place was packed since it was break but the kids still had a great time. Then we went to lunch with Enzo and Kendra. We headed home so Nathan could nap then we were off to swimming. The hardest part of three kids all day was the in and out of the car! After swimming we headed to Langans to bowl!

troy gymnastics

I was a little nervous about taking both boys by myself to open gym, knowing how clingy Jake can be and how not Nathan is. I was reassured the preschool gym was small enough and I would be fine. Let me just tell you this place is great. Both boys had a fantastic time, Jake had a huge smile on his face the entire time. We have been having napping issues with Nathan the last week and he did not take an afternoon, I was certain he was going to be horrible but again I was proved me wrong and was very good. We can't wait to go back again soon. Hannah loved showing the boys all of the fun activities.

rainbow recreation

We meet up with Andi and Suzy at Rainbow Recreation this morning. Jake and Andi loved bouncing on the trampolien with Nathan. Nathan would have like play on the trampolien the entire time. My little camera was acting funny, I had so many cute shots but they did not turn out.

little kickers

Jake is nearing the end of his first indoor soccer season. When the session first started Jake was in way over his head. The kids range from ages 3-5, Jake was the youngest. Coach Liz is amazing and really has helped Jake love soccer. Even though he does not know his left from his right he is starting to learn at a young age. This is a great program and Jake really enjoys going every week.

let it snow!

This was the first time that Nathan played in the snow. I was not sure what he would think, but he surprised us and loved being pulled in the sled. Jake was a little confused and tried to use his lawn mower on the snow. Why won't my children wear mittens? But they never complained. They both took them off as soon was we could get them on. It was fun family morning in the snow.

meet frosty

We did not have a carrot for a nose, so we had to improvise but Jake did not seem to mind. I think David had as much fun making the snowman as Jake did.

pictures by Pam Schofield

So remember way back when in September when had professional pictures done?? It turned in to three different shoots with 499 pictures to select from. Here are a few best shots. I know understand why professional photographers get paid so much. It was hard to work to get my kids to both be looking at the camera at the same time. All Nathan wanted to was crawl away and well Jake was just difficult. This was not a great experience. I just received my proofs the other day, not in time to use these pictures for holiday cards or gifts. First up Jake:
