When Jake wakes up from his nap he gets a snack. Usually I give him two choices and he picks one. The other day the conversation went like this:
Jake: I need snackee
me: Ok what would you like? Apple or banana?
Jake: No
me: Ok, what would like you like?
Jake: Junk mommy, Jakee need junk!

Saturday morning

Of course the day we are leaving it is just beatiful out! We had only a few minutes before we had to leave for the airport to enjoy the nice weather. It was a great week that went by way to fast. Now I need an adult vaction. I don't think it will be to hard to conviece David.

We met up with the Schwartz and Bardach families to go to the Miami Seaquarium. We have yet to find an animal activity that Jake does not like. He loved watching the live shows, even Nate thought they were pretty cool. I'm sure he will think swimming with the dolphins is pretty cool in a few years.

While we were in Florida we met up with Sunita, Kamran and Ariana. It was so nice to chat while the kids played; it was cold so we met at the play area in the Aventura Mall. The play area was great, there was a guard who not let any big kids in which is such a change from the play areas around here. We miss you guys!

We did a little shopping in the morning then after lunch when it was little warmer, maybe 65 degrees we bundled up to go down to the beach. I think we did a great job of making the best out of the cold weather. Jake was very happy to play in the sand. This was the only time I have ever been to Florida that sun screen was never used.






We let him swim for about 20 minutes then his lips started to look a little blue, please note we were the only crazy people out there.

Day two, Tuesday we headed out to the African Lion Safari. The first part of the park is where you drive thru in your car looking at the animlas. Jake did not want to stay in the car; he wanted to get out and pet the lions, tigers, zebra and elephants. What can I say - he loves animals! Needless to say it was a long hour of telling him he could only look. Many of the animals were in arms reach if you could put your window down. So after a very long hour in the car it was time to interact with the animals! Jake got to feed goats, birds and a giraffe. He could not have been more thrilled! There a really neat water park but it was way too cold. He loved going on of the rides as long as one of us went with him. It was such a fun day.

Day 1 in Florida

And we are off! Jake was very excited to see the planes and roll his own carry-on thru the airport. The boys were great on the plane. Traveling with two was off to a great start. I knew before we left that the weather was not looking so hot. I actually had to re pack us the day before and add more long sleeves and take out some of the shorts. The good news is when we got there it was very nice and sunny! We checked into our hotel and started exploring. We were at the Diplomat, at amazing resort right off the Atlantic. We quickly settled in and changed to go to the beach. It was chilly so we were not out for long, Jake loved collecting the sea shells; he could have done this for hours. The hotel had two amazing pools, Jake's favorite was the heated infinity pool that had a very shallow area. Jake was covered in goose bumps and did not seem to mind.




It was to cold for Nathan to go in the water.. I put him in a swim suit just so I could take pictures.

Yesterday was Nathan's first time in the exersaucer! He was all smiles. When we were in Florida it seemed that Nathan was in the car seat all the time...I was feeling bad for the little guy.

Nate is 3 Months Old!

A quarter of year a already! Nathan now weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces. I have started to pack away his 0-3 months clothes. He is still in a size 1 diaper but not for long. He is sleeping great! He usually has his last feeding about 8:45 falls asleep around 9:30 and then sleeps till after 8! I have had to wake him even a few times to get Jake to school. He is such a sweet little guy always full of smiles. He loves his playmat and swing.

Jake could not get enough of sledding, when I say sledding I mean getting pulled on a sled, there was no hill involved... maybe next year.

Nathan has his first cold:( So far it is not too bad and he is still his usual happy self. I took him to the doctor after he threw up several times. I think he was just choking on phlegm but wanted to make sure. Hopefully he does not get worse before he gets better. Less than a week till Florida, I just hope he is feeling better to fly.
