Nursery School Update:
Jake loves school, he is learning so much everyday. I am so glad we decided to do a 2 year old program with him. He is swtiching to a new school in the fall but will continue to go Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. He will go to camp this summer at his current school.

Swim Class Update:
Jake is doing so well at swim class. Every week I see improvements; he is really able to swim now.

I talked to the doctor about potty training and was assured it will happen and not to force it. I really have not tried too hard in all fairness. Jake still drools, but it is improving.

Nathan had another weight check, hopefully this was his last. He now weighs 13 pounds 10 ounces. He is still only in the 5th percentile but he gained almost a pound in three weeks! We go back in two weeks for his 6 month check up. Where is the time going???

nursery school birthday party

This morning we celebrated Jake's 3rd birthday with his friends at school. Jake was very excited to have us there to sing happy birthday with him. He picked out yummy sprinkle cookies from the bakery. After all of the celebrations we have had, it is starting to sink in that I have a 3-year-old.

celebrating at Chuck E Cheese

We have been planning this weekend for months. Since we had to do Jake's party last weekend (the place was booked for this weekend) we had to make sure we had lots of fun planed for his real birthday. After a trip to Toys R Us to do some returns and of course pick out some new gifts we headed over to Chuck E Cheese. Jake did not want to go to Toys R Us he was not happy when we made him get out of the car...I know the kid is nuts...all he wanted was Chuck E Cheese. The highlight for Jake was when Chuck E Cheese himself bought Jake's cake out to the table and sang him happy birthday. The all day celebration continues at my parents' house tonight and tomorrow we are taking him to Nickelodeon Storytime LIVE!

happy 3rd birthday Jake

My big man turnes 3 today!! I can't believe it, has it really been that long? Jake makes me so proud and he is so grown up and learning and taking in everything around him. What did I ever do to deserve such an amazing child?

pj library

Once a month at Jake's school they have a PJ library event. The kids go in their jammies have a pizza dinner then arts and crafts and stories. It is very cute...even though we had to come home and take a bath and put on clean jammies. Pizza and arts and crafts are not a clean activity. Here is my attempt at pictures before we went. Jake wanted no part of sitting for the camera.

opening gifts

After the party Jake came home a took a great nap. We unloaded the car while he was sleeping and had everything ready to go for when he woke up after his nap. I was very impressed how he opened his gifts, he took his time with each and wanted to play with it. We really had to encourage him to move on and open another one. Jake is so lucky to have such amazing friends who got him such fun gifts. So much fun that he did not want to go to bed last night without taking a new car with him. This morning he was to busy playing before school to eat breakfast, it's not like Jake to miss a meal. He really did not want to go to school this morning he wanted to stay home and play with his new toys. The celebration continues next weekend when we celebrate his real birthday Saturday with lunch at Chucke E Cheese and a family birthday dinner. Then Sunday we are going to Nickelodeon Storytime Live.

I love this picture of Nathan he is looking like such a little man:)

Jake's third birthday party

How is it possible that Jake is almost three! Today was his party at Franklin Athletic Club. The kids had a blast playing and bouncing. It was a whirl wind of two hours. I wanted to get a picture of all the kids together but totally forgot. The festivities will continue next week when we celebrate his real birthday.

horsen' around

I am pretty sure going to visit Alison, Tyler and the horses was the highlight of the week for Jake. The big Costco bag of carrots sat in the fridge for a few days and every time Jake saw it he asked if it was time to go feed the horses. It worked out well this time that he got to go for a little ride on Mortin, who happens to be the biggest horse in the barn.

5 month update

Nathan is still officially our little peanut, a few days ago when we were at the doctor getting two shots he weighed in at 12 pounds 14.5 ounces. To help him gain some more weight he now gets solid foods twice a day. We are working on introducing veggies right now. He is liking the veggies more than the cereal. So far we have done, carrots, green beans and peas.

In other new Nathan first tooth is coming thru. Way earlier than Jake got his first tooth. He is still Mr. Chill and everyone always comments how he is just such a happy easy going baby. He still loves his fingers but is getting more and more in to his toys everyday. He is very alert and does not miss a thing.

Nathan is 5 Months Old!
