superhero and princess party
Last year the Ostrofsky's raved about this event at the Costic Center in Farmington Hills. This year lets just say the kids had a great time. The food was horrible and there not enough bounce house or people running the activities. Good thing we got there early. When my mom bought Jake his superhero "Jake" cape I had absolutely no idea how much use he would get out it. He loves this thing! He could have been Spiderman but he wanted to be Super Jake. Poor Nathan did not wear a costume, he was not of fan last week at the Purim Carnival of the dragon costume. Nathan loved being out on the dance floor. The highlight for Jake was trying on the firefighter gear. It was a crazy, very loud night, I was worried the entire night that Nathan was going to get trampled.

family night
Wednesday was family night at Jake's preschool. Unfortunately my camera battery was dead. So this is the only picture from the evening. The night started off with dinner and then we went to his classroom to see all of the projects they have been working on. Jake was very proud and enjoyed showing off his masterpieces. It was so fun to see him interact with all of his friends from school. Jake has an amazing teacher he is loving school, which makes me so happy.

purim carnival at shaarey zedek
purim at school
well this is a first
Both boys are on antibiotics. I had to take Nathan in for two shots and well since Jake did not have school today he had to come with. Jake has had a runny nose but that is it. Nathan nosey has been runny off and on for a few weeks but I thought it was because of teeth. Well upon closer look both have fluid in their right ears, and both bacteria in their snot. Good think he looked at both boys. Needless to say no shots for Nathan. Both are acting pretty normal, I guess I just have tough kids.

let the count down begin
I just booked Jake's 4th bithday party for Sunday May 1st. Would have loved to have his party on his real birthday but that is easter. Let the party planning begin! This year his party will be at the Troy Aquatics Center. I'm still trying to get use to the idea that I almost have a 4 year old, where does the time go?

mahalo hawaii
It's hard to believe we have been home for two weeks and I am just now finishing up posting pictures. Jake is still talking about the big boat, and wants to go back. Nathan hates socks and shoes! I bought he several pairs of sandals for the trip, that I'm sure will be too small by spring that he would not wear. He took his shoes off the minutes we put them on. Needless to say, he is not happy with the fact that socks and shoes are not optional in cold Michigan.
On our last day we got off the boat pretty early and headed back to our amazing hotel to spend the morning before we had to go to the airport. What a great way to end our vacation. We had such a nice morning hanging out by the pools. We were all in agreement that we needed more time in paradise. Hawaii truly is a magical place. Thanks, mom and dad for this very special family trip.
This was the view from my chair, I was able to relax for a while when the boys were swimming.

helicopter tour
If you ask Jake we saved the best for last. On our last full day my parents and the four of us went on a helicopter tour of Kauai. It was just breathtaking, I lost count of how many waterfalls we were able to see. We were actually able to see the Waimea Canyon this way. The coastline of Kauai is amazing! So amazing that both boys feel asleep. Yes, Nathan is in a life jacket, he had to wear it since most of our flight was over water. We just had a waist packs on that you can't see.
