cars 2

We took Jake to see Cars 2 on opening night with the Scheidt family. Jake's had been watching the original cars movie over and over again in preparation for his first movie theater experience. Jake loved the movie, and in typical Jake fashion asked questions thru out. Thanks, Therese for taking pictues:)

being boys

We are having our street and driveway re-paved and the boys can't get enough of watching all of the big trucks. I personally think it smells gross and is very nosy can can't wait to get in the house.

the camp effect

Jake is loving camp this summer, but everyday when he gets home he does not want to get off the couch. This is how I found him passed out on the couch.

kensington

With our elliptical machine out of commission we have had to find other ways to get our exercise in. Sunday morning we headed to kensington for a nature walk with the boys. We ended up walking over five miles! The boys love being in the double stroller as long as they have snacks. We broke the walk up for them by taking them to the petting farm.

stroybook gardens

We had such a great time last year we could not wait to take the boys back to Stroybook Gardens in London, Ontario. The boys did fantastic in the car, thank goodness for dvd players. Before we left it looked the like weather was going to be nice, but when we got there mother nature had another plan. It was chilly and drizzly most of the day. Luckily the boys did not notice and David had a jacket in the car but I was freezing! We still managed to have a great family day, and are already talking about going back again this summer so we can hit the waterpark.

Booth park

The boys never get bored of the park. It is always a for sure way to see huge smiles on their faces.

from my inbox

Hi-
I am having so much fun at camp! We played in the water, went to Music and Movement, played Field Games, made our own snack and we even ate lunch in the “dining hall”. Now we are playing on the playground. I love being with my friends.

I hope you are having a good day also.

See you soon.

Love,
Jake

farmers market

Since David was working the boys and I meet my parents at the Birmingham farmers market. This time Jake wanted a spider on his arm. He was very sweet and asked if Nathan could have one too. Jake picked out an amazing hanging basket for the porch, it was to huge and pretty not to get. Now the real test is if I can keep it alive.

fathers day 2011

failed pictures attempt.

David had to work but we were up early so we went for a morning walk then later to Champps for dinner. Even though David had to work we still had a nice day.

ingelnook park

We love this park, but it tends to get super busy and not always with the best crowd. This time we managed to time it well and the boys had a blast playing.

last soccer game of the season

I was very ready for soccer to be over this year, this season the game times were hard and interfered with Nathan's nap. Overall Jake had a great season and learned so much he had fun and that is what matters! I think we will try a different league in the fall.

last day of 3 year old preschool

It was a bitter day and to say good bye. The kids put on adorable little show for the parents. I was nervous about HIllel not sure if it was right for Jake. But he had such a fantastic year! His teachers Miss Helayne and Miss Karen were amazing they were exactly what Jake needed. Still crazy for me that he will begin his last year of preschool in just a few short months, now it is time to enjoy summer and have fun at camp.

underwater

Tuesday night as soon as I walked in the house I heard the sound of running water, at first I thought maybe Jake had left the sink on after he washed his hands, but no, the noise was coming from the basement. As soon as I steped down the last step I stepped in to 4 inches of water! After a few frantic phone calls I was able to turn the water off, the hot water heater was spouting water. What a mess is an understatment. The dry out has begun but it's not pretty so much stuff is ruined. The poor dogs were looked in their cages in the basement freaking out standing in freezing cold water. The floors have all ready been removed and bags of tons have been hauled away. This is going to be along process. Trying to look at the positive that we will get to redo the basement. Last week the air conditonder. Lets hope things do not happen in 3s.

aidan's baptism

Aidan's baptism was Sunday afternoon, the acutal baptism was right at Nathan's nap time so David stayed home with him while I took Jake to the church. This was Jake's first time in a church and he was just full of questions. Jake and Enzo sat pretty well thru the ceremoy. Here are a few pictures form the church part. After chuch we headed over to the Schedit house for an amazing party. We all had such a nice time, Jake of course did not want to leave. We were having so much fun at the party I only took a few pictures. I'm sure Therese has many that I will share.
