We meet up with Sara, Macy and Lilah this morning at Walnut Lake. The kids had a great time playing in the sand.  Since we have had the pool this summer this was our first time at the beach this year. Hands down the beach is our favorite summer activity, and Walnut Lake has such a great set up. The boys could have played there all day.  It was a great way to stay cool on a very hot day.

We meet up with some of Jake's friends from Hillel at Heritage sprinkler park Tuesday morning. Nathan LOVED running thru the sprinklers.  Jake however was in a mood, he was super needy and clingy. 

michigan adventures

We had an amazing day at Michigan Adventures on Thursday. We totally lucked out and had amazing weather, it was actually a little chilly when we got there but by after lunch it was warm enough for water activities. This year Jake was all about roller coasters! Anything that he was tall enough to ride he did. It was very nice this year that Nathan was able to go on a little of the little rides with Jake. Even if Nathan could have his own boat or car he always wanted to ride with Jake. The best part of the day was none of the rides had lines, we walked right on to EVERYTHING!! Last year we had to wait 20-30 for a few of the rides. Which meant the boys were able to do their favorites over and over again. We are already taking about going back before the end of the summer. They had so much fun here I can't wait to take them to Disney in November!

We are have a great day planned to honor David. First to the Birmingham farmers market then off to the tigers game.

Alison needs a pony, Jake is so ready to start riding lessons. This morning Rebecca and I took the kids to visit Alison, her kids and of course the horses.

summer vacation is here!!

Camp does not start until next week so we have been doing our best to keep busy. Thursday morning we headed to Greenfield Village with Therese, Brady, Logan and Aidan. It was a perfect morning all  around, the boys were on great behavior, it was not very busy or too hot.  We explored a few different areas of the village this time which was a nice change but still made sure to go on the train, model t cars, merry-go-round and carriage ride.

And just like that we have a pre-school graduate!! I found myself holding back tears several times this morning. He has grown up so much in three years of pre-school. I think this year he has had the most growth. Jake teacher commented today how easy going he is and how is so eager to please and that he is friends with everyone.  He is leaving Miss Barbara's class very ready to start kindergarten!!

I can't believe that school is over it seems like just yesterday he was getting ready to start his final year of pre-school. I can't believe how much more grown up he looks now.

Even though Nathan has only been in school since January he has grown so much.  I loved his teachers even more than I thought they would. The two and three years programs was first. Nathan did a great job on stage singing his songs. Monday he starts camp for the summer.
