lego exhibit

We took the boys to see the Lego Architecture Exhibit and The Henry Ford Museum last Saturday. The exibit itself was much smaller than we expected but it was still cool to see all the building make out all Legos. The look in Nathan's eyes was how fast could he knock them down. At the end of the exhibit they had a huge area to set-up to with legos so you could build your own city. They could have played there for hours and hours! After the exhibit we checked out our usual favorites the huge combine harvester and the trains.

another party at school

Nathan is with the older  3s on Tuesdays and Thursdays and he really wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends in Miss Jodi's class too. Miss Jodi asked us to bring bagels and cream cheese for his birthday treat. The kids kept asking where the cupcakes were!!

Disney wrap-up

I took close to 600 pictures during our week at Disney! It's hard to believe this is the last of the bunch. We finished our trip in the Magic Kingdom. It was a vacation to remember and hopefully the boys will remember too. I spent countless hours doing research and talking to friends who had recently visited and I think it made all the difference in us having such a successful trip. I think it helped too that we wait to Nathan was 3, they were at the prefect age to enjoy the magic of Disney. Seeing the boys experience the characters and magic was one of our favorite parts. The boys are already asking to go back...

animal kingdom

Animal Kingdom was very cool, we got to go on a very realistic safari ride. We could not believe how close the animals were! We went first thing in the morning and the animals were all very active.  Another fun thing at Animal Kingdom was the Dino Dig area the boys could have played there all day. We had another character breakfast at the Tusker House, not my favorite meal but the boys loved it. They got to meet Donald, Mickey, and Goofy. And of course Nathan got yet another birthday cupcake.

pool time

Our hotel had two amazing pools and a beach. The sad thing is we only used it once. It was either to chilly or we just to busy at the park:)

another fun day at epcot

Tuesday morning we headed back to Epcot. We grabbed a fast pass for Soarin' and spent the morning meeting many characters. Both David and I found it odd that there are many more characters to meet and see in Epcot than the Magic Kingdom.  Finding Nemo and Turtle Talk with Crush were also two big highlights for the day. When it was finally time to ride Soarin Jake got nervous since Nathan was not tall enough to ride it. David stayed back with them so I could go, this was the one ride I really wanted to do and did not want to miss out. After I went David talked Jake in to going with him. And, I'm very happy to report that he said it was one of his favorite rides. For lunch we headed over to the countries and had an amazing lunch in Morocco.

dinner at park fare

The boys loved having dinner with Prince Charming, Cinderella, the evil step-mom and step-sisters. The boys really thought it was neat that these characters talked to them, (Mickey, Donald, Goofy and those type of characters do not talk) Since we were still celebrating Nathan's birthday they really fussed over him. And, of course Nathan got yet another special birthday cupcake. Even Jake got into these characters more than I thought he would. Even since this dinner Nathan loves princesses, when we were at the doctor the other day he picked out a Cinderella sticker over Thomas the Train.
