Sesame Street Live!!

Nathan and I had a special morning, just the two of us. We headed downtown to the Fox Theater to see Sesame Street Live!! He was so excited when I told him this morning that he got to miss school and  I had a special surprise for him, he was jumping up and down with excitement to see the real Elmo dance and sing. He was SO into the show he sat perfectly on my lap and was captivated the entire time. He is at such a perfect age for this kind of stuff. It was a very special morning with my little man.

The boys were very excited for a snow day!! Jake's friend Ryan from school came over this morning and we ventured out to play in the snow.  They were having so much fun they did not even want to come inside for lunch.

Our library had an event for kids to read independently to a dog.  Jake is finally at the point that he is reading independently, he just needs to work on his confidence. I received an email for this event and thought it would be perfect. Jake was very excited to select the perfect book and he eagerly practiced with me until he pretty much had it memorized. I'm so happy to see him showing more an interest in reading independently. And, no I'm not getting another dog so he can practice reading.

We helped Hannah celebrate turning two at her Minnie Mouse bouncing party!! A cool addition to the standard bouncing party was the balloon twister. They each had dinosaur balloons made, and could have watched they guy make them the entire party.

We took the boys to the zoo this morning. It was so nice to be able to do an outdoor activity. To bad this weather will not last but it was a nice break!

Macy's sledding party

Macy's 3rd birthday party was a sledding party!! What a fun idea, Sara even had hot cocoa at the sledding hill for everyone. I could not believe how long the kids lasted, I had to bribe them with cake to get them to go back for lunch. Nathan kept getting stuck on the way down and needed to be rescued.

Happy New Year

The Schwartzs' hosted a New Years Eve Party last night. It was a fun night with great friends. We did not push the boys to stay to midnight, we knew they would be up at 7am regardless of what time they went to bed. We are looking forward to 2013!

We went to visit with the horses and see the addition Alison and Ian added on to their house. Nathan is getting much braver at feeding the horses and as usual Jake is in his element. If Alison had any lesson horses I would strongly considering having Jake take lessons. Luckily for our checkbook she does not. The boys had a great time hanging out with Tyler and Norah and playing with all their toys.
