big boy room
Jake's new room is really coming together! His furniture is here. the bed rails are up, now we are just waiting for the closet doors to be finished. pictures to come soon. Now time to work on the nursery:) His days in his crib are officially numbered! I am hoping this is a smooth transition. He loves to show off his new room to everyone and jump on the bed.
on the mend
well sort of...my ankle is doing better but I still have to take it easy and stay off of it as much as possible and let me tell you that is easier said than done with a two year old. So needless to say I have not been taking many pictures lately.

first trip to l&d and er
Friday afternoon I put Jake down for his nap and was doing a few things around the house. I went out in to the garage and the next thing I know I was on the ground. Some how when I went down the one step, I stepped on a pop car and twisted my ankle and fell on concrete. I somehow got myself in to the house and called my OB who sent me to Beaumont. I though I had broken my ankle and there was no way I could drive. My parents came, my mom drove me to the hospital and my dad stayed with Jake. David meet us there. It as crazy to be back in L&D it brought back all the feelings of being in labor with Jake. They took me back right away and hooked me up to the monitors. I was not contracting or bleeding so that was a good sign. I had to be monitored in L&D for four hours to rule out a placenta abruption. Luckily the baby is fine...I was not ready for a 27 week baby. My ankle on the other hand is not. After many xrays later, I have a torn/strained ligament. They could not tell for sure with out a CT scan and they will not do that when you are pregnant. The good thing is that it is not broken and I am already starting to feeling better. Being on crutches is not easy. Jake is having a hard time understanding that I can not pick him up right now. He only wants me... I guess this part is a preview of things to come when the baby here. Tuesday when the bandage comes off I will be able to drive, then I will be in an aircast for while. What a way to start the third trimester.

a few Jakeisms
When you give him something he likes he wants more, he tell me you more before he even took a bite, he must never have a empty plate
He now asks you to turn off his light at night
He now screams "I do not want that" as loud as he can when things are not going his way
He to be wearing a shirt at all times
Cars have taken over his world, they come in the car with us, they take baths in the tub and outside they get fed breakfast. He even goes to bed with several in his hand. He has named them all and knows exactly which one he wants.
Jake loves to be ticked on his stomach and asks for more
