32 weeks

When you hear second pregnancies go by faster it is true! I can't believe that I'm less than 8 weeks away from meeting this baby. I feel huge! I'm sure it helps too, that I am feeling so much better this time. I need to scan a pictures that I had taken at 32 weeks with Jake for comparison sake.

first field trip

This morning we went to Erwin's Apple Orchard with nursery school. Grandpa tagged along to help. It was very chaotic getting everyone situated but it was still fun. I was not able to get many pictures because he was being so cling! We lucked weather wise, it looked liked it could start to poor at any minute. I love that I'm able to stay home and able to do these kinds of activities with Jake. The highlight of today (since the pony is only there on the weekends) was playing in the hay maze. Jake has fun jumping to grandpa.

we are in now trouble now

Ok so here is the deal... Jake is not loving the fact that I no longer going in the pool with him at swim class. But I am holding strong and he just has to deal. So on Tuesday he was being whiney and making it clear he wanted me in the pool. I was sitting in the waiting room watching from behind the glass. He told his teacher that he had to go potty. They came out to get and me and he told me the same thing, "Jakee go potty", I am annoyed but I take him and sit him on the potty. As soon as he sits down he says, "all done, lets go home". So yeah he lied to get out of the pool. I took him back the pool and made it clear that Jake does not use the potty yet and he was trying to manipulate his way out of the pool. I am laughing at the situation, and then it scares me at the same time that he is capable of that kind of manipulation.

pony ride

I am pretty sure the hightlight of Jake's day was his pony ride. He enjoyed apple picking do not get me wrong but he was all about the animals. The apple orchard also had a petting farm set up. He was able to help groom a different pony, a donkey, a few goat, a sheep and even an alpaca.

apple picking

What a perfect day to go apple picking! We had so much fun last year we could not wait to take Jake back this year. This year he was able to actually pick the apples and of course wanted to eat them right away. We got there nice and early so I was not over crowdered which was a huge plus. We finished off a perfect morning with cider and warm donuts. It is a little sad to see summer end but I love all the fall activities.

Jake found some apples that were just his size

Max's train party

Jake had a great time at Max's party this morning. Max is in Jake's class at nursery school. The highlight of the party was the trackless train that came and drove the kids thru the neighborhood!

first day of nursery school

Let me start by saying I am so proud of Jake, he did awesome on his first day. I am so glad we sent him to camp. I really think it helped with the transition especially since he is in the same room with most of the same staff.

When we pulled in to the parking lot this morning he get a little fussy and say "no camp" but once he was in the room he saw a table with play-doh and he was off. I was a little nervous since I had scheduled an doctors appointment for me and knew I could not linger around. Maybe that was a good thing, I said good bye and not a tear. When I picked him up they said he did great. He was so busy playing when I walked into the room he did not notice I was there. I am just so relived that it went went and he really seemed to have a great time.

The morning was a little rough, he slept in and Jake wanted his chocolate milk and Elmo.

paddle boat

Sunday was a crazy day, first we had Lizzy's first birthday party then we headed out to my parents friends house for a barbecue. Jake was a great sport considering he only napped in the car for about an hour....As soon as went arrived at the Penn's house Jake spotted the paddle boat and knew he wanted to go for a ride.

The only way Jake would wear his life jacket was if David would wear his.

family pictures

Melissa was having fun playing photographer, and to my surpise some of the turned out pretty good. All I can saw is wow I look really pregnant in these pictures.

last day at the beach

Saturday we packed up and hit the beach! We are so lucky to access to Wing Lake, thanks Melissa:) I think the beach has been Jake's favorite activity of the summer. He just loves to play in the sand and has gotten so brave in the water. He loves to jump in and swim to you. It was a perfect day to spend outside relaxing, luckily David was able to join us so I was able to relax and keep my foot up.

Here is a flash back pictures from two years ago, Labor Day weekend. What a difference, now I can't get Jake out of the water.

southfield library

Since I'm still limited in what I can do, but need to get out of the house this morning we headed over to the Southfield Library. I knew it was suppose to be great, but I had no idea how great it was going to be! Jake had the most fun running around the garden area. There was also a dragon in a dungeon that he was not so sure about but has not stopped talking about all day. This library is a playground, they had a a tree house, place for a puppet show, game and puzzle table and so much more. We will be going back for sure.
