nathan's meet the teacher

Nathan had his meet the teacher day this morning. Even though he will not be 3 until November he is starting 3 year-old preschool. The good thing is most of the kids in his class also have late birthdays like him.  It took Nathan a few minutes to realize that he was going to be a new classroom and not with Miss Jackie anymore. This year Nathan has 5 teachers (not at the same time, just depends on the day who is there, there will always be atleast 3 teachers in his room) There are 14 kids in his class. It's going to be anjustment for me having the boys in two different schools.

east tawas

Sunday we had to be out of the beach house by 10am. However we not ready to head home yet so we ventured in to downtown East Tawas. We explored the pier, played at the park and in a very cool fountain.

beach house day 4

Saturday morning we went to visit Syndey at the hospital only to find out that she had just been released! Luckily she felt great and wasted no time getting in her bathing suit.  Even though this year we went a day longer it was not enough time! I think I could hang out by the beach everyday. The boys are already asking when are we back. It was a great few days filled with amazing friends, way to much food and abundance of sunshine.

tawas day 3

As soon as we got back from our morning adventures it was back to the beach! Nathan fell asleep and on the way home and ended up taking a 3 hour nap! Jake and Enzo had a blast playing in the inner tubes. Friday night we had a bonfire and made smores!

Lumberman's Monument

Tawas day 3

Friday morning we headed to  Lumberman's Monument in Oscoda. Lizzy tagged along since Jason and Stacie were at the hospital with Sydney. The Montante's stayed back so Ava could nap. We hiked 272 stairs to the Au Sable river. The view was amazing!  There was  also a huge sand dune that the kids would have loved to slide down however David and I knew getting three kids back up would not be an easy task, especially since I was carrying my camera.

Tawas day 2

Nobody slept well the first night and we up very early ready to start our day. After a quick breakfast we spend the day playing in the water and the sand. The weather was perfect and for the most part the kids played great together. Unfortunately Sydney started to not feel well.  I ended up going with Stacie to urgent care.  Urgent care miss diagnosed her and she later ended up in the ER. Turns out she had pneumonia and two spend two nights in the hospital.  Sydney stayed in the hospital Thursday through Saturday. Stacie and Jason took turns with her at the hospital. Lizzy hung out with all of us and had a great time!
