Friday night we had some friends over and the kids were playing on the deck, all the kids ended up getting soaking wet playing with the water tables. Nathan complained he was cold so I took off his wet clothes and shoes and ran upstairs to get him dry ones. Nathan must have found a rough board and manged to get several splinters in both his feet. We had no idea that this happened, we went about our night he took a bath and went to bed. Early Saturday morning I noticed a larger splinter in his foot. David and I tried to get it out but gave up quickly when we realized it was pretty deep. We headed the doctors of course they was super busy and waited forever to only find out that they felt he need to go to the ER. The pediatricians office did not feel that they could numb his found enough and there were several small splinters they were not sure what to do with. Luckily David was home with Jake so Nathan and I headed home and picked up daddy and Jake. We dropped Jake at my parents and headed to Providence Park hospital in Novi. No way we were dealing with Beaumont with the Dream Cruise going on. And, with David's new insurance we really need to start going there anyway. The ER was great and pretty fast, Nathan charmed everyone. They were able to able to use a topical agent to numb him and they did not have to sedate him. He was such a trooper. And we thought we were going to have a quit day...
