it's soccer time
Jake started a new soccer season on Saturday, this season he is on the Whitecaps! What a difference 8 months makes and a season of indoor soccer. He was running and smiling most of the time. Jake was very happy to see couch Liz again.

play house
play date with enzo
Monday we were finally able to have a play date with the Enzo. It's so hard to find the time with Kendra working full time. I miss the old days. Jake and Enzo are both beyond obsessed with Scooby-Doo right now. Enzo is even having a Scooby-Doo party. I think Jake is more excited for Enzo's party than for his. Here they are watching a little Scooby-Doo.

april 24th
Jake never use to get out of bed in the morning, he would just call for me and yes it had to me and scream that he was all done sleeping. Well on his birthday he came running into our room bright and early ready to start his day!
David did not have to be at work until ten so we had a nice morning just the four of us. David made eggs, Jake's favorite breakfast and we gave him a few presents to open form us. Moslty a scooby doo stuff, his current obsession. And we counted down till 9:35am when he would be offically 4.

After playing with his new toys for while we headed out to Drake Park. Jake loves to ride his bike so we brought it with us. Since it was Easter we pretty much had the park to ourselves which was no nice.

After Nathan napped, we headed over to my parents house for dinner, and to open more presents! Jake had his favorite cake from DQ! And requested pizza for dinner. Luckily they were open on Easter. Jake was very spoiler my parents they bought his http://preview.tinyurl.com/6fdeshd
Hopefully it will be but together on Tuesday! He also got a vreader from aunt Kristin.

We had such a wonderful special day, minus that fact that David did not feel well. Looking forward to the big party on Sunday!

birthday weekend recap
David had to work all weekend and I was determined to make this a fun and special weekend for Jake. We started off Saturday morning at Build-a-Bear. This was our first time and and Jake was a little over-whelmed with all of his choices. Build-a-Bear gave Jake a special birthday sticker. On the way to the mall he already knew he wanted to get a stroller for Roxy. (his elephant lovey) Fifty something dollars later Jake has a new bear that he named Harry. Harry also has a new stroller that Jake enjoyed pushing thru Somerset. He already has asked if he can bring the stroller next time to the mall. Nathan was a trooper and hung out in the stroller. One overpriced bear was once enough for one day. We grabbed a quick lunch and headed home so Nathan could nap.

Saturday evening we headed out to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. Conner and Lily were able to join in on the fun. David was able to meet us there after work. Jake had a smile on his face the entire time! Jake was even able to practice blowing out the candles. He loved everyone singing him happy birthday.

white house
Jake knows that the president is Barack Obama, he knows that he lives in the White House, and we knew the White House was a must see on this trip to DC. Sunday morning we went shopping in Greogetown, then headed to the White House. Once we were there and he realized the is just involved looking, he was ready to run around. Both boys loved smelling the flowers and just could not get enough of just running around outside.
