Washington DC, Friday

We had a whirl wind of a weekend! Talk about an easy flight just 70 minutes (especially since the last flight we took was 10 hours), the boys were fantastic. We had absolutely amazing weather on when we arrived Friday morning, we checked in to our hotel early by 11 and were ready to start our day. We stayed at the Omni, which was right down the street from my sister's apartment it was a great hotel for the kids, when we checked in the each got a backpack filled with toys and each night when the turned down the room the brought the boys milk and cookies. We grabbed a quick lunch and then headed to the zoo!

The National Zoo is amazing, so much better than the Detroit Zoo! We were all loving the nice weather and being in the fresh air. Jake loved being able to see the animals so close. As much as he loved the elephants, I think his favorite was the gorilla's.






What a workout we had, the zoo is on a huge hill, the walk back to the entrance was killer pushing the stroller. Nathan was such a tropper and napped in his stroller, Jake feel alseep in the cab on the way to our very yummy dinner at Cheesecake Factory.
