memorial day

We had a relaxing day, spent mostly outside playing with water. In the morning I set up the water stuff early so the water would not be so cold, but as soon as the boys saw what I was doing they wanted to be outside too. After Nathan's nap we went over to the Schwartz's for dinner. The Ostrofskys also joined in on the fun. The kids had such a great time playing and keeping cool.

lily's cowgirl party

All the cowgirls and cowboys headed over to the Schwartz Ranch on Sunday to celebrate Lily's 4th birthday. The kids just loved the petting farm. There was a baby cow, a pony, mini goats, alpaca and miniature donkey for the kids to brush and pony to ride on. And even baby bunnies to snuggle with. Nathan LOVED seeing the animals, it was close to nap time and animals prevented a major meltdown. However he was not a fan on the pony ride. He clung to me for dear life. I guess we need to work on that. Jake however, could not get enough, and was very sad when the animals had to leave, but cake quickly made his frown disappear.

back to greenfield village

Jake has been talking non stop about Greenfield Village since we went to ride Thomas there a few weeks a ago. We had no idea when we headed there this morning that there was a civil war event going on, the place was packed and the lines were long! We still had a fun morning and the boys loved the train ride.

Jake in the box

Who needs to buy toys?? Jake could have played in the box all night long. He was having so much fun we had to take the box home with us.

Nathan's turn

Nathan was not sure what the big deal was about a box, but he had to check it out since Jake was having so much fun.

Jake only has a few days left of school for the year. One of the moms put together this book for his teachers.

greenfield village

While Jake was at school Nathan and I meet up with Hannah, Macy and Brooke at Greenfield Village. It was great for Nathan to have some time with kids his own age. I feel guilty often that he does not get to do the activities and playgroups that I took for granted with Jake.

The weather was perfect, such a nice change from all the rain! Even though Nathan is way to young to appreciate Greenfield Village he loved the train and carousal ride.

playing together

It was so nice to see the boys playing together, it helped that this was a new toy.

model t

I'm so excited we now have an annual pass to greenfield village. After we rode Thomas Jake requested to go for a car ride in an old car. He was thrilled that he got to sit in the front seat for the fist time. I can't wait to take him back to do more fun activities.

family pictues, take ????

And, this time I was so happy with how they turned out! It was such a great experience! I would recommend Kelly to anyone. I knew I wanted outside pictures, Kelly suggested Medowbrook, what an amazing location, Jake thought he was looking for queen and going on a scavenger hunt. Kelly was beyond fabulous with Jake, which is what made this experience so positive. I do not love how I look, I did my eye make-up differently and that was a mistake. Here a a few of my favorites, if want to see them all her is the link. http://makpics.com/index2.php (look under galleries for Becker)

day out with thomas

Saturday afternoon we headed to Greenfield Village to ride Thomas the Train. Jake was very excited all day long. Jake likes Thomas but not super in to him, like some of his friends but he LOVES trains. It looked like it was going to rain all day but we lucked out with not even a drizzle. Jake could have ridden the train ten more times. They has many fun Thomas activities to do besides ride the train. We need more time we closed Greenfield Village down at 5pm. The boys loved these rocking trains, I wish them sold them in the gift shop.
