Jake's buddy Conner had his 4th birthday party at Langans. This time Jake was more into bowling and actually finished his game. It was a very fun party was an amazing cake.

We meet up with Kendra and Enzo after naps to play at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills. The boys had a blast running in the sprinklers and then playing at the park. After they came over for pizza and the boys played even more.

branch library

We were suppose to meet up Therese, Brady, Logan and Aidan for music in the park, but it ended up be a gross humid and wet morning. Instead we ended up at the West Bloomfield Branch Library. The boys had a blast playing and it was a great way to spend the morning outside of the house. I always forget about this library good thing Therese reminded me.

The other night while I was reading Jake books in his bed he informed me he waned to sleep on the floor that night, I was in no mood to argue so I said fine. I moved him to his bed when I check on him a while later. He proceeded to wake up at 1am freaking out that he was not on the floor. How is this comfortable?

the social life of a 4 year old...

Let me tell you Jake is very busy boy. Sunday we had two birthday parties. Jake wanted to know when we left the second party if he was going to another.

The first party was for Elan at MyGym. What a great party and the best part of it was Jake was completely independent!! The parents were able to hang out and chat and just watch.

The second party was for Adina was at Marvelous Marvin's. Jake has only been to Marvelous Mavin's one other time and he loved it! I do not know what happened yesterday but something scared him, and not just a little he was shacking and freaking out asking to leave. He spent most of the party on my lap. He did calm down enough to enjoy cake and play a little at the end but he would not leave what he deemed as the not scary area.

weekend of birthdays

Satruday night we meet up with the Larsons to celebtate Conner's 4th birthday. First we had a very yummy dinner at the Japanese Steak House and then boys played a Jeepers! The boys were very good at dinner Nathan was a little nervous, but sat very nicely on my lap making it for one of our more enjoyable meals with him lately. Happy Birthday Conner, we are looking forward to your bowling party next week:)

basement update

It has already been over a month since our water heater flooded our basement. I knew it would be a slow process dealing with the insurance company but I had no idea how slow it would be. The good news is things are finally moving forward this week we picked out the new flooring, (still have to figure out carpet for the stairs), ordered a couch, starting the cabinet selecting process, and had the floor plan drawn out for the new bar. Next week we will hopefully the select the granite. We are just waiting on the builder to be able to start the drywall. I can't wait for it all to come together!

never far behind

We have felt so cooped up this past week, I have completely taken for granted our basement until we do not have. It was finally cool enough to get outside and burn off some energy. Nathan always wants to do what his big brother is doing these days.

camp fun

I was just informed that they have been posting pictures of the kids having fun at camp. Here are a few pictures of Jake loving camp. He is going to have a reality check when school starts back up in the fall and he actually has to be in a classroom and not outside playing all day. He comes home EXHAUSTED, but he is having a blast.

the early bird gets the worm?

Jake lately has been waking up so early, much earlier than David and I would like usually he is in our room between 6 and 6:30, I use to have to wake him everyday at 8 to get ready for school. The only good thing about this early wake up time is that since I am up and Jake usually takes over my spot in bed, I get up and workout early. This is early wake up time has been catching up with him.

I knew Jake was not going to last long in 90 degree weather in a blazer. Luckily I was able to snap a few pictures before we headed out to Brennan's baby naming.

For some reason going to beach never seems to get old. When we are home the boys pick at each other and fighting over everything and anything lately, but at the beach they are as happy as can be.

Hands down our favorite part of summer is the beach. The boys had a blast playing in the water and the sand. The bonus effect of the beach was the boys were exhausted Nathan slept over 3 hours and even Jake took a nap. And, now the question is do we do it again tomorrow??
